Pharrell Is Designing a Collection for Chanel

If you saw Pharrell’s glittering yellow hoodie at Chanel’s Cruise 2018 show in Bangkok and thought, “I want that,” this is your lucky day. It was revealed today that the singer, a frequent Chanel collaborator, is designing a collection for the house.

It was last November that Pharrell designed a limited-edition pair of Chanel x adidas Originals trainers that sold for almost $1,000. Now, he’ll be creating a full Chanel vision, with the yellow hoodie he wore in Bangkok as one of the pieces. If the logos on the jacket are any indication, we may be seeing pieces with sparkling Chanel details like the classic double-C logo and the Chanel No. 5 reference.

Not much is known about the release, but WWD reports that the collection will debut on March 29 at its new Seoul flagship location, continuing to appear at select Chanel boutiques on April 4.

While this is the first time Pharrell has designed an entire collection for the brand, he’s appeared in many campaigns and also walked the runway at the Pre-Fall 2017 show. In 2014, he wrote a song with Cara Delevingne when the two appeared as an Austrian emperor and his queen in a Chanel short film.
