Rihanna is returning to New York Fashion Week with a bang after taking a season off. The “Diamonds” singer’s Savage x Fenty Fall 2018 show will take place at 7:30pm on Sunday, September 12, rounding out fashion week as the last show on the schedule. Fans will be able to buy the pieces immediately following the show at SavageX.com and Ri’s New York pop-up.
Rihanna also works with Puma on a line of ready-to-wear called Fenty x Puma. More recently, the spotlight has been on her Fenty makeup line as well as her lingerie line Savage x Fenty. Past Savage x Fenty collections have included cheeky pieces like furry handcuffs and nipple tassels. Ri has also been an adamant supporter of creating garments that fit a diverse range of body types and ethnicities. We can only hope to see more of that at her show this NYFW.
The devil may work hard, but Rihanna works harder. The following day, Rihanna will host her annual Diamond Ball in New York City with “Insecure” multi-hyphenate (actress, writer and producer) Issa Rae. There will also be a special performance by “This Is America” singer Childish Gambino, aka Donald Glover. Proceeds from the event will go towards the Clara Lionel Foundation, Rihanna’s charity that aims to help young people around the world.
