Style maven Sarah Jessica Parker is always good for a fashion entrance, and today was no different. As she was casually walking the streets of Brooklyn, Parker pulled off a combo that was oh so Carrie, in a silky striped pajama top, contrasting patterned silk pants, and hot-pink pumps. We’ve already long been fans of pajamas for daytime, but most of the time we’ve been shopping for matching sets, so this has completely changed our minds on the styling of them.
The key to making this look work without looking like you’ve tried too hard is mixing prints that feel natural to your style, and keeping the colors at least in the same family. Both of SJP’s pieces have the mustard yellow color in common, so her adding a bit of Barbie pink works since there’s already some cohesiveness between the two. It’s a daring look, but one that we’re really into.
