If there’s anything more exciting than the runway of Paris Fashion Week, it’s the eclectic street style looks that come along with it. While presentations from major labels like Y/Project and Chloé dazzled us, true impressions were made in our minds from the beauty side of show patrons and fashion month veterans.
To say this season was like none other is a tired cliché, yet stands completely true for this one—at least in terms of makeup. From completely bare faces to prosthetic goth creations, PFW was a spectacle for all to enjoy. Let’s revel in all that Paris Fashion Week’s stylish dwellers has to offer us, below.

It doesn’t get more Parisian than this. Porcelain skin and blunt bangs paired with teeny cat eyes and true-red lips are a staple in French beauty, and there were plenty of toned-down odes to the trend throughout the week thus far.

Gothic Renaissance
While nods to 90’s grunge has been seen throughout Fashion Month on and off the runway, it seems like nightmare-haunting gothic trends are having a moment as well. This is definitely one of the more drastic looks seen on the street of Paris, but pale complexions and black-rimmed eyes have been spotted throughout the week, making it clear: the goth era will be making their well-deserved comeback in twenty-nine-scene.
Lashes, Revitalized

The minute Dior debuted chunky lower lashes on their Pairs Fashion Week runway, we knew the overdrawn take would catch fire. It’s a fun, comical take on our usually wispy little lower lashes, adding a touch of 1920’s nostalgia to the modern beauty world. Plus, it’s pretty simple to create: just exaggerate your lashes with your go-to eyeliner, and a few swipes of mascara.
Ultra-Slicked Locks

Could it be that we’re all sick of volume and desire flat hair? According to France’s most stylish residents, probably. Slicked hair can be found as far as the eyes could see throughout Fashion Month, but was especially prominent during PFW.

Glitter All Around

Meticulously placed glitter has been one of the biggest trends for 2019. While past makeup trends included ultra-glitzy cut creases crafted with diligence, this season is all about the messier, the better. Just a quick smear of glitter gel, and you’ve easily created the faux-messy shimmer trend taking over the streets of Paris.
Electric Hair

Sorry blondes, it looks like blue-nettes are having more fun this season. Neon hair has been a major trend for Paris Fashion Week, with heads full of blues, bright pinks, and purples circling around town.

The hair clip: a 90’s and early-2000’s staple that gave us so much joy (and headaches) during our childhood. Fast forward to 2019, and it seems like these pretty little hair accessories are more popular than ever.
Bare Faces

The most surprising makeup trend of Paris Fashion Week: no makeup. Well, the “no makeup”-makeup trend, to be exact. Women all over the beauty-spehere have ditched their high pigment shadows and highlighters for toned-down, “I woke up like this” looks. Think: a few dabs of tinted moisturizer, and a light swipe of lip gloss or tint for a fresh look.
Silver Strands

Silver locks is the hair color of the moment—seriously, even L’Oréal deemed it the color of the year. Not only is it a fresh play on hair color, but it’s also a great, big “f*ck you” to the industry’s shaming of naturally maturing hair. The lesson: embrace your hair guys, it could become an iconic trend one day.
An Avant-Garde Moment

This Teddy Quinlivan moment was everything we needed from the rest of PFW’s more tamed looks. Quinlivan created a striking, Picasso-meets-contour style that heavily contrasted the Louis Vuitton fashion show she was strolling to.
