Even though her professional MUA days are behind her, she still likes to play around with the latest trends. Her favorite makeup trick of the moment: the less is more approach.
“Early on I was definitely into more of a heavy coverage and really dramatic plays on it,” Holliday says. “Now, I still love makeup, but I’m more into a natural look and I focus my energy into having healthy skin. I used to wear makeup everyday, and now I only wear it when I have to. I love dewy skin and winged eyeliner.”
And her minimalist approach seems to be working—one look at her natural glow and clear complexion is all of the proof you need. So, naturally as one beauty obsessive to another does, we couldn’t help but gush over our favorite products. We surprisingly had a few things in common: as you could guess, we both have a shit ton of beauty supplies, and we’re both obsessed with Joanna Vargas, Pat McGrath, and skincare products that “burn a bit.”

“I legit have a makeup problem, I have so much. I’m obsessed with CoverGirl Exhibitionist Mascara, it’s so good. I also really love Dior Lip Glow. I use the color Berry because I can just swipe it on and it heightens the color of my lips without feeling sticky. I love lip glosses, and I’ve been really into the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb. It’s the best lip gloss ever.”
“I really truly love all of Pat McGrath’s palettes, and I think I own almost all of her lipstick colors. I’m also really into Urban Decay, they have some great glitter products. One of my favorite things is Stila’s Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadows because they’re so beautiful and you can do so much with them. For false lashes, I’m always using Lilly Lashes, and I also wear the foundation from NARS; it has a really nice, natural finish. I can keep going for hours, but those are my favorites of the moment.”

“I’m such a skincare junkie. Joanna Vargas Skincare is amazing; I go to Joanna for facials and she’s great. I use her masks all of the time, my favorites are Euphoria and Twilight. I alternate between the two, and I kid you not I use one every single day. I also love Tatcha’s masks; they’re phenomenal and make my skin feel so clean and hydrated. Caudalie has an amazing face mist, and so does Tatcha, so I alternate between the two of those.
“I’ve been using Sunday Riley’s moisturizer and their U.F.O. Oil, as well as their Luna Night Oil and their retinol serum. I literally use everything from their line. But I’m starting to experiment with new things—just last night I tried the Peter Thomas Roth retinol serum, and I really liked it. It burns a bit, but in a way that I appreciated.”
