Weekend plans? Me neither. Not that I am anti-social, nor am I disorganized, but my general lack of commitment to the summer is rearing its ugly head in an untimely manner, on what could possibly be called the biggest holiday weekend of the season. And as a result, I’ve got nothing on my agenda.

PS, this is a weather friendly option should the sun not shine all weekend long.
Catch the ferry from Fidi to one of the Jersey Shore’s favorite gems – Sandy Hook. The stretch of seaside bliss includes five beaches, two of which are clothing optional. Pack a basket of snacks, throw on your favorite swimwear and get goin’.
Hop on the Amtrak up to Storm King for the new season. Get your nature fix with acres of manicured lawns and contemporary art just an hour outside the city. Pro tip: it’s a perfect date spot to flex your knowledge of the art world and enjoy an open air picnic. Dress the part in some sturdy denim with chic cotton separates and a good pair of walking shoes.
