There are two types of people during the summer months—on one end of the spectrum are those who adore all things glowy skin and catching those impending summer rays. On the other end is the fashion crowd who roar for resort and summer caftans, oversized hats and wicker bags, mind you this infatuation with lasts all but 2.5 seconds as the end of summer fashion dilemmas begin to come full circle. You quickly start to hear the murmurs of, “This heat is the death of me,” or, “I was triggered to pull out my cropped olive green leather bomber, but its 85+ degrees out and I rather save myself from a heat stroke, SOS.”
Listen, the struggle couldn’t be more real as we enter the unseasonable occurrence known as Indian Summer. We’re chomping at the bits having an internal battle with self on whether or not it’s time to flip our wardrobes and begin the transitional dressing process.
Take our foolish advice; you’re never too early to begin your dream capsule collection as you anticipate the next season. For us, it’s all about a good chunky knit where it’s cozy and comforting design qualities beckon autumn’s arrival.
Try a cropped camel colored ribbed knit sweater. A bit oversized in the sleeves and boxy fit in the torso. Pro tip: include a half-tuck styling method with a classic pair of blue jeans that are cropped and flared at the hemline to create dimension drawing attention to your strappy black sandals which will allude to a play on mixing and matching seasons.
