It was in December that Kardashian announced she was expecting, posting a photo on her Instagram account of Thompson cradling her pregnant belly. “My greatest dream realized,” the caption read. “We are having a baby!”
TMZ reports that the 33-year-old Kardashian gave birth early Thursday morning around 4 AM EDT at a hospital outside Cleveland. Her baby girl reportedly does not have a name yet.
Kardashian revealed her baby’s sex during the season finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. She was pregnant not long after her sisters Kylie and Kim (who had a baby via a surrogate). Kylie gave birth to her daughter Stormi in February, and Kim welcomed Chicago, her third child with Kanye West, in January. It was on Monday that Kardashian hinted her baby might be on the way with an Instagram post captioned, “We are ready whenever you are little mama.”
She’s been open in the past about her struggles with infertility, and her wishes to start a family were a main storyline on her former show Khloé & Lamar with her ex-husband and former NBA player Lamar Odom. “I had been waiting and wondering but God had a plan all along.”
“He knew what He was doing,” she wrote. “I simply had to trust in Him and be patient.”
Thompson reportedly has a son with his ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig. The basketball player has been dating Kardashian for over a year now, though their current relationship status is uncertain. He was booed by the crowd during Wednesday’s Cavs game against the New York Knicks.
Reports from Entertainment Tonight and the New York Post said that Khloe “went ballistic” when she saw the footage, wanting to fly home to LA but was told by her doctor that she couldn’t fly at this stage of her pregnancy.
