The Francophiles out there will be happy to know that the Paris Fashion Week Men’s street style moment that’s happening right now is on another level. While, of course, we expect the fashion in the City of Light to be top notch, this week has been a far departure from the kick-flare jeans and flowy top ease we think about when it comes to “French girl style.”
Instead, the streets are filled with exaggerated silhouettes, punk platforms, outlandish hair accessories, and so much more. Even celebrities like Gigi Hadid have stepped up their game wearing custom designer looks that are more underground couture than sipping espresso chic.
The style we’re seeing this week may be just as peacocky but it’s also arguably more original than what we’re used to seeing during the traditional fashion weeks. There’s certainly less attention on the shows which perhaps makes it a bit more accessible for other types of style stars to get their shine.
