Cardi B has had a rough week, what with shoes thrown and the cool wrath of Nicki Minaj, but if there’s some news to make her feel a bit better, Tom Ford’s Cardi B lipstick sold out just two days after it was announced.
The rapper’s namesake lip color is a dark, vibrant blue that’s part of Tom Ford’s Boys & Girls collection. While the color may still be available in stores, it’s sold out on the Tom Ford website. But should you find it at a makeup counter near you, channeling Cardi B will cost you $36.
Tom Ford debuted the color in an Instagram post on Saturday, September 8, though the official debut happened backstage after Wednesday’s NYFW show where Cardi sat front row.
The “I Like It” rapper reposted the label’s Instagram post, captioning it, “Thank you so much @tomford and @tomfordbeauty!!! So excited for this and what’s to come!!” Yesterday, she followed up with another post saying that the lipstick had sold out. “Sorry :/…..” the caption read.
Elite Daily reports that scoring the Cardi lipstick is possible — but will require some patience. “You’ll definitely have to keep your eyes peeled in-stores, as well as set up notifications on the brand’s social media channels to find out when the $36 product will be re-stocked,” Kayla Greaves writes. “You can also scroll down to the bottom of the brand’s site to sign up for their newsletter to get the latest news on releases.”
In the meantime, here’s the latest on the Nicki/Cardi feud.
