Cardi B and Quavo Just Released a Song With Madonna

Meet your new weekend jam, courtesy of Quavo, Madonna and Cardi B. The unexpected collab is off Quavo’s solo debut QUAVO HUNCHO – out today – and the song “Champagne Rosé” features Madonna and Cardi B.

They may seem like an unlikely duo, but the “I Like It” rapper is actually a huge fan of the Queen of Pop. When they met in March, she gushed on Instagram, “I met my real life IDOL @madonna .I can’t even believe i performed at her event and it was the most meaningful performance ever.I grew up with my mom listening to Madonna for hours .”

The song is a banger, with Madonna adopting a bizarre, computer-esque voice to create a catchy hook of “Drink me up Champagne Rosé, it’s my game.” The idea of Cardi, Quavo and Madonna all sipping pink wine together is honestly delightful.

The collab is just one of the A-list features, with Drake, Kid Cudi, Travis Scott, Pharrell, and more stepping in and, in some cases, even stealing the show. “Quavo also finds himself going toe-to-toe with another prolific hook maestro: Kid Cudi,” Rolling Stone’s Charles Holmes writes. “Surprisingly, the Cleveland rapper decides to enter Quavo’s world on ‘Lost,’ adopting a trap-inspired flow.”

When asked in a recent GQ interview what “just Quavo” sounded like—the rapper minus Offset and Takeoff, the other two members of Migos—he said this. “That’s a great question, because that’s what I’ll learn from my fans when I drop my album,” he said. “I’m a just work hard, being the hardest working person on everything, leader, the Huncho, so that’s what you already know what you got coming. I need answers from my fans now. I can’t answer everything.”
