Thomas Markle and Samantha Markle, estranged family of Meghan Markle, have caused a fair amount of trouble for the Duchess of Sussex – and they seem to have something to say on just about everything she does.
When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced Monday morning that they’re expecting a baby in spring 2019, we knew it wouldn’t be long before her estranged family reacted. Her sister Samantha and father Thomas Markle, surprisingly, gave – kind of – positive comments to the press.

“It just makes everything that happened over the last year disappear,” Samantha told The Sun. “I want Meghan to be happy and calm and have peace. Everybody needs to be positive.” She continued to say that both she and her father feel the same way about the pregnancy, but that she hopes her dad’s omission from the official birth announcement wasn’t “intentional.”
“If he is excluded, I won’t be happy. It is in the best interests of the baby for my dad to be included,” Samantha said. “A baby changes everything and softens everyone. I would only hope that there would be some adjustment or some way of including him.”
Meghan Markle has been estranged from her father after he failed to come to the royal wedding. His absence came on the heels of a paparazzi stunt he staged at the suggestion of Samantha.
“He thinks Meghan will make a great mom as she is already so maternal,” Samantha said. “Thomas sees this as a chance to fix the problems between him, Meghan and Harry. He is desperate to be there for his grandchild and wants to play an active role in their life.”
